EMC Corporation (NYSE: EMC) is the world's leading developer and provider of information infrastructure technology and solutions that enable organizations of all sizes to transform the way they compete and create value from their information.
NetWitness is a privately-held provider of network security analysis solutions. NetWitness' technologies provide precise and pervasive network visibility, enabling security teams to detect and remediate advanced threats while automating the incident investigation process.

NetWitness will become a core element of RSA's Advanced Security Management Solutions, providing real-time visibility into network activity and adding efficiency to incident investigations and workflow.
M&A season is definitely in full swing. For large companies with available cash, there definitely seems to be great opportunities in the marketplace for acquisitions as we see today with EMC and NetWitness.
